How to Build a WiFi Jammer From Old Junk in Two Minutes
Bluetooth and most WiFi signals operate on the 2.4 GHz band. Most everyday cordless phones work on the same 2.4GHz frequency. Therefore, with a little tweaking you can turn a cordless phone into a Bluetooth and WiFi jammer. (This device will only jam WiFi routers that operate on the 2.4GHz band. Routers that use 3.7Ghz or 5GHz will need to be jammed at those frequencies.)
This video shows you how to build a WiFi and Bluetooth jammer in less than three minutes, using only the following materials:
- a 2.4 GHz cordless phone
- a CD-R disk (or DL DVD-R for longer range)
- a foot or two of speaker wire
- ten inches of duct tape
You’ll need a screwdriver to open the phone’s case, and something (scissors or a knife) to strip the insulation off the ends of the speaker wire. That’s all!
