Welcome

Welcome to the controversial world of WiFi, bluetooth, and cell-phone jamming. These technologies are illegal in some countries and perfectly legal in others. In many countries, the legality depends on the application, with jamming applauded and protected where it prevents public nuisances or promotes safety, and prohibited and prosecuted when frivolous or vindictive. As you can imagine, there are a lot of legal gray areas; the technology and laws are still evolving.

At WiFiJammers.com you will find helpful articles, divided into three categories:

Our Legal Info articles provide information about the laws, as well as the agencies — both governmental regulatory authorities and telecommunications corporations with private police forces — that enforce the laws. If you’ve had any personal experience with either, please add your comments to an existing article where appropriate, or post a new article about it.

Our Applications articles review the many situations in which jammers are being used — both for good or for ill. If you’ve had any personal experience, either as a jammer or as a victim of jamming, please contribute your insights by commenting on the most relevant article; or else add a new article about it.

Our Technical Info articles present the details of how cell-phone, bluetooth, and WiFi jamming technologies work. Some of the commentators here — mostly from countries where jamming is legal — have appended information about how to make a jammer yourself. It’s surprisingly easy.

In countries where it is illegal to own or manufacture a jammer, this information is provided for its academic educational value alone. You are solely responsible for determining the legality and appropriateness of using this information in your location and for your application. With respect to this information, we are like a public bulletin board; we are not responsible for this content nor for your use of this information.

To add your comments or to post a new article, you will need to log-in. It is free to register, and we do not send you anything, and we don’t give out your personal information to anybody (unless forced to by a court of law).
